Background & ObjectiveHKPC&SAPD is committed to developing and promoting para sports, as well as enabling local Paralympic athletes to achieve sporting excellence since its establishment. Hong Kong Team has achieved remarkable results in the international competitions and has been able to capture medals at every Paralympic Games since its first participation in 1972.
In order to nurture young talents and sustain Hong Kong Team’s success in the international sports arena, HKPC&SAPD is going to organize the Young Athletes Recruitment to identify potential athletes for 7 sports, including archery, athletics, badminton, boccia, swimming, table tennis and tenpin bowling. HKPC&SAPD will provide professional training to talented participants who meet the basic requirements (including the degree of disability), and those who are in the eligible age group may also be selected to represent Hong Kong in the Dubai 2017 Asian Youth Para Games held in December this year.
